Garland as he appears in Dissidia Final Fantasy
Garland (later known as Chaos upon merging with the power of the four fiends of chaos) is the main antagonist of the original Final Fantasy. He was once an honorable knight in the kingdom of Cornelia however a lust for power consumed him so he kidnapped the princess Sara to force the king to turn over his kingdom so the king sent the four warriors of light to stop him. Upon his defeat he sent the four fiends into the present so they can send him into the past thereby creating a time loop where he can live forever. '
