General Cryptor is the general of the Nindroid Army and major antagonist in LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, and later he’s one of the six secondary antagonists of its TV special Day of the Departed.

General Cryptor is the robotic leader of the Nindroid army, and a servant of the Digital Overlord. Unlike the Nindroids, who rarely speak, Cryptor talks all the time. He loves to taunt and insult his foes in battle, and has even been known to criticize his own troops (saying they are as stealthy as a herd of hungry yaks). Cryptor’s emotional programming is also more advanced than that of the Nindroids, and his quick temper can be used against him. Cryptor dismisses the ninja as a serious threat to his army. That may be a mistake that comes back to haunt both him and the Digital Overlord.
Day of the Departed[]
General Cryptor is the most advanced of all the Nindroids built by Cyrus Borg. He’s more capable, smarter, more powerful and, thanks to his built-in ego program, supremely arrogant. He loves to talk and his favorite subject is … General Cryptor. He holds the NINJAGO record for most consecutive hours spent talking about oneself. Most of the time, he’s talking to himself, since even the emotionless Nindroids start to cry from boredom after an hour or two.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Cloaking ability: Like the other nindroids Cryptor can go invisible. He used this once when he was fighting Zane.
- Shooting lasers: Cryptor can shoot lasers out of his cybernetic eye. Like the other nindroids, he can also shoot them out of his armor.
- Enhanced Strength: Cryptor Is incredibly strong. He was able to lift and throw Zane away with one hand. In Curse of The Golden Master, when he was fighting the four ninjas, the ninjas were able to put Cryptor down together but he was able to push all four of them away with one push. There's a chance he can match Cole's Super Human Strength as he appears to be stronger then him.
- Strengthened (When absorbing the Golden Powers): Cryptor and his nindroids are able to absorb the golden powers of Lloyd. Doing this would make Cryptor much more powerful then before.
- Flying Jet (Under his feet): Like the other nindroids, Cryptor can fly using jets built into his feet.
- Durability: Cryptor is extremely durable. He can easily resist most attacks the ninja throw at him with little effort.
- Overload: Cryptor has a power that wasn't shown in the Rebooted series or Ninjago Nindroids game but was shown in the Ninjago Tournament mobile app. He can unleash enormous amounts of electric energy and blast his enemies with it.
- Airjitzu (implied): During the Day of the Departed, when fighting Zane, Cryptor claims to know Zane's every move before he even makes it. When Zane asks if he knows Airjitzu and uses it to get onto a tree, he discovers that Cryptor is already standing there, claiming that he does. However, it's unknown if he really used Airjitzu off-screen or got onto the tree by other means.
Personality[]
In stark contrast to the rest of the Nindroids, General Cryptor has a distinct personality and more sophisticated emotional programming. He is talkative, obsequious, hotheaded and arrogant, believing himself to be the greatest warrior in the world. He is shown to be dismissive of the Ninja, and at times, even his own troops. This arrogance is his primary weakness, as he tends to severely underestimate his enemies.
