Old Nick is the main antagonist of the 2015 drama film Room, which was based on Emma Donoghue's novel of the same name.

Old Nick kidnaps 17-year old Joy Newsome by pretending his dog is then puts her in his shed. After that he rapes her repeatedly which makes Joy pregnant and gives birth to her son, Jack. After that, Old Nick keeps them as prisoners and comes bringing food and supplies, then when Old Nick says that the Joy who lost her son, Jack. After that, Old Nick keeps them as prisoners and comes bringing food and supplies, then when Old Nick says that the Joy who lost her and will not be able to pay for supplies in the future, is pretty obvious that Old Nick will probably plan to kill them both. And to save Jack she makes her own son pretend to die what happens. Then Joy manages to trick Old Nick who puts the boy on a rug thinking he was dead and puts him in a truck. But then Old Nick discovers that the boy is alive and tries to catch him until he is approached by a man and his dog. Old Nick then runs away, but he is arrested and later that night. Joy is reunited with her son, after being arrested Old Nick is found guilty of kidnapping and raping Joy and is sentenced to 25 years in prison.
