Gets imprisoned

Otoya Takechi is an antagonist in the anime series Akuma no Riddle. She's a teenage serial killer and a member of the assassins of Black Class.

She is voiced by Manami Numakuri in Japanese and Colleen Clinkenbeard in English.

Little is known about Otoya's past. At some point in her adolescent years, she became a serial killer and murdered 29 people, mutilating their bodies with scissors. Otoya later joined Black Class, a thirteen-student high school class of assassins disguised as students set to compete to murder a student within the class, Haru Ichinose.

Otoya was the first to try and kill Haru. She later convinced Haru that she would protect her from the other assassins, but this turned out to be a ruse and she knocked Haru out using a poisoned bouquet of flowers. She then takes Haru into the botanical gardens and strips her down into her underwear before proceeding to torture her. She received a call from Haru's protector, Tokaku Azuma, who demands to know Haru's whereabouts. Otoya refuses, but this distraction allows Haru to escape and unbind herself. Otoya pursues her, but Tokaku arrives and shoots Otoya in the face, leaving a scar on her cheek. The two fight, with Otoya gaining the upper hand. However, Haru knocks Otoya out using the same poisoned bouquet of flowers she'd used earlier.

Otoya remained unconscious until morning came. Upon awakening, she was met with Nio Hashiri, who informed her that she was expelled because the time limit was up, making her the first student expelled from Black Class.

Sometime after her expulsion, Otoya was arrested and imprisoned. However, she escaped prison and returned to the academy to kill Haru. However, upon arriving, she was captured by Sumireko Hanabusa. When Sumireko tried to assassinate Haru, Otoya attempted to kill her, but was defeated and knocked out. Upon awakening, she was again confronted by Nio.

Otoya was then returned to prison, awaiting her release.
